The seller guarantees this dog is in good health, minus potential intestinal parasites, and has received the following: Age-appropriate immunizations, Subcutaneous microchip, Appropriate deworming.
The seller does not, under any circumstances, accept responsibility for any veterinarian and/or healthcare expense for this dog.
The buyer agrees to pay the purchase price, stated on page one of the contract, in full before the dog leaves Red Door Canines. Payment is to be made in cash, unless previous arrangements are agreed to by the seller.
The Buyer is responsible for all costs relating to the sale of the above animal, including transportation. This includes an appropriate travel crate. The risk of injury or loss to the above animal is the responsibility of the Buyer from the time the animal leaves the possession of the Seller.
The Buyer agrees to provide the best possible care for their dog for the duration of his or her life. This includes, but is not limited to: Housing the dog indoors, Feeding only quality food intended for dogs, Maintaining their dog at a healthy weight, Having the dog seen by a licensed veterinarian for a wellness exam annually, Taking the dog to a licensed veterinarian if they get sick or injured, Keeping all immunizations current according to the guidelines of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Administering heartworm and flea and tick preventative medications regularly, Registration of microchip.
The Buyer agrees to contact the Seller immediately if the Buyer determines they are unable to keep their dog for any reason. The Buyer and Seller will jointly determine how the dog will be rehomed.
The Buyer agrees to never place the dog with a rescue group, a shelter, pound, or similar facility or research laboratory, but instead will bring the dog back to the Seller.
Spaying, neutering, or gonad sparing surgery (GSS) by a licensed veterinarian is required on the above dog upon receiving the dog within 6 months or (before the next heat if this pertains to the above dog) unless breeding rights and/or unlimited AKC registration is given.
Proof of this, in the form of a Certificate of Spay/Neuter from the veterinarian must be forwarded to the Seller within a month of the surgery. If the Seller does not receive documentation within this timeframe, the health warranty will become null and void.
It is understood that unless breeding rights or unlimited AKC registration is acquired at the time of sale, this dog will NOT be used for breeding. Should this contract be broken, and the dog be bred, the Buyer will be required to pay the seller the sum of ten thousand U.S. dollars ($10,000) as penalty.
